Large-scale experiment was conducted by researchers from the Harvard school of public health: diet and health almost 74 thousand women and 44 thousand men were studied with the aim to find the connection between foods and cardiovascular diseases, which they can prevent or provoke.
The experiment was carried out a record amount of time – almost 26 years. 28 thousand participants during this time died. The researchers re-examined the maps of diseases and causes of death of these people.
It turned out that if you eat whole grains in an amount of not more than 28 grams per day, you can avoid heart disease, and premature death.
